In the 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries many great technologies were slowly replaced with their digital analogs. Compact cassette players and cassettes just disappeared from everywhere. Turntables and vinyl disks are trying to find their way back, but it is not now what it used to be... I am one of the lucky few who still enjoying to get an old film camera in hands and give it a chance to compete with the cameras that are built in everywhere. There is not so much needed to bring the old technology to life: some good mood, a camera and a roll of film. There are so many different models and types of cameras available and photo film still being produced by many companies and available for professional and regular use. Despite some complexity and inconveniences - taking pictures the old-fashion was is still lots of fun and a great hobby. For some it is still a busy career. So what do we need to make photos in an old-fashioned way? |
